RDP-PAT Community and Sanimax

Towards a more respectful relationship

Statutory Vacations

Friday, June 21, 2024, 5 p.m.

To all members of the RDP-PAT community

In the spirit of fostering transparency with the neighborhood, Sanimax would like to inform you the operations planned at our plant for the next two long weekends.

June 22 to 24, 2024 – National Quebec Day

The heat wave we experienced at the beginning of the week now seems to be behind us. The weather forecast for the National Quebec Day weekend looks favorable for smooth operations.

During this period, we do not anticipate any major intervention with our equipment, and we will gradually stop our main operations for this holiday. They will resume normally early in the week.

Our teams are monitoring the situation throughout the weekend. We will keep you informed of any changes.

June 29 to July 1, 2024 – Canada Day

Once again, on Canada Day weekend, we will be phasing out operations and they will resume as normal early in the week.

It is too early at this stage to anticipate any weather phenomena. We will keep you informed of any changes that may occur.

What measures are being put in place to improve cohabitation this summer?

Several measures for the Summer are already in place. For full details, please consult this article published on our blog: Plan estival 2024

Additional improvements will be made over the coming months on our site, following the agreement reached last March between Sanimax, the City of Montreal and the Quebec Government.

About

We understand how our business impacts the people and communities around us – that’s why facilitating an open dialogue is one of our top priorities.

To honour this commitment, we have created a citizens committee comprised of representatives from different sectors (municipal, political, environmental) and three residents of Rivière-des-Prairies—Pointe-aux-Trembles. Our goal is to establish and maintain a more harmonious relationship with the surrounding community.
